In 2008, Working in Support of Education (W!se) created a Certification in Personal Finance Test. The Test is intended for educators currently teaching or interested in teaching personal finance to high school students, other educators, or adults. It has 80 multiple-choice questions.
The topics assessed are aligned to national and state standards on personal finance; educators who pass the Test earn a Certification in Personal Finance and receive a CPF certificate from W!se.
Please use the W!SE Certification in Personal Finance Manual to help you study for the W!SE Educator Certification Test. The test will be given in person at the SC Personal Finance Symposium.
The W!SE test fee is included in your registration fee.
These slides summarize many of the essential concepts and key information aligned with the W!SE Personal Finance Test. Designed as an optional study aid, they offer a concise overview of the material to support review and reinforce understanding. Symposium attendees are encouraged to use the slides in combination with the Personal Finance Manual above to identify core topics, clarify important terms, and create a study plan to prepare to take the W!SE Personal Finance Test on Tuesday, June 10 at the start of the Symposium.
