Requirements

To receive the South Carolina Council on Economic Education (SCCEE) Personal Finance Certification, educators must complete at least 12 hours of in-person professional development offered by SCCEE or an approved partner.

SCCEE has planned four professional development sessions, each lasting 6 hours, between June 2026 and January 2027.  Additional opportunities will be added based on demand. 

Educators who attend two or more sessions (12+ hours total) will earn the SCCEE Personal Finance Certification. After completion of the 12+ hours, educators will receive a digital certificate from SCCEE that can be uploaded to their SC My Educator Portal.
